Carlock Family | Ft. Hood Family Photographer

Very seldom do I get an overcast day where I can take families this close to the water without awful shadows!  The Carlock family was really a pleasure to meet and work with.  Dad got home recently and I love shooting families recently reunited!  We had lovely weather, perfect scenery, and come to find out later in the session that they were married at a bed & breakfast right up the road!  I had to get them up there to do a family session after hearing that!  How perfect right?  I hope you enjoy looking through their session, it came out so nice!

The Carlock family is also one of our families that we did a free session for!  Are you military and want free pictures?  Find out more here!

Alvarez | Harker Heights Family Photographer

I love mini sessions!  They are perfect for a quick family op to get a new set of pics up around the house.  And you'd be surprised how many pictures we get in short amount of time!  For this mini, meet the Alvarez family!  They have a super sweet baby girl half way to 2 years old and she is gorgeous isn't she?  She reminds me so much of my youngest with the curls!  This session takes place at Chalk Ridge Falls and is perfect for Fall portraits right now!  It's great year round but really pretty right now, especially down by the water.

If you're interested in a mini session, we offer 30 minute sessions that come with:
a online album with a minimum of 20 edited images from which to choose
10 selected images form the album on a CD with print release
$150
(military discount does not apply to minis)

Riley | Killeen Children's Photographer

I'm not gonna lie.  I related to some pretty cute kids.  You'll see them alot on here throughout the year because what good is a photography career if I can't use it on my favorite people?  This is Riley.  He is 2!  I'm lucky enough to get to see most of my family every Sunday, so a few weeks ago we went on a little trip around the farm to get his birthday pictures done.  You'll notice we aren't at you're typical site given the goats in the background.  We love it though and I was even able to grab a picture of Riley's new puppy, Dixie Belle.  I've got to do a dog only session soon...

Anyway, this session takes place at our family farm in Topsey, Tx.  It's mighty dry right now and the cows are dwindling down after every auction thanks to no rain causing downsizing.  We took shots at the last couple round bales we have left, went to see the steers being fed up, said hello to the goats, and then played in the oak trees.  It's always great fun and I just love this little guy.  And did I mention his mom is sweet enough to watch my crazy kiddos for me so I can do sessions?  Love my family!  Take a look through a little of Riley's session...

Barclay Family | Ft. Hood Family Photographer

Meet the Barclays!  When I received a call from Lydia about family pictures I was a little surprised because we did family pictures for them in January.  Then, I soon learned she discovered she was pregnant with baby boy #2 right after they had them done.  So, here they are again!  Sarah did their session last time, but I was lucky enough to meet the sweet family this time.  Their blonde hair, blue eyed  handsome boy was so happy to show off his baby brother.  And why not?  He is such a sweet, darling little baby!    I'm so glad I was able to do photos for them, for William is home on R&R long enough to meet his new addition before heading back overseas.  Gotta love military life huh?  Lydia is a fabulous mom though, so I know she'll be just fine!

For the Barclays session, we headed to Salado.  Salado is a popular place for pictures, but I tell clients all the time that with each family we get a totally different look each time.  I brought along my mom's old saddle for a little pop next to the red barn I knew I wanted to use and it turned out perfect!  We did half our session at the barn and then traveled up the road to a historical monument with some rustic cabins.  I love the cabins, I've even used them for my own kiddos.  The session turned out lovely and I know I've said it before, but we really to get to meet the nicest families through this business with the cutest kids!  Take a look through a little highlight of their session...

Happy Grandparents Day! | Killeen Family Photographer

Grandparents are special people!  I was and still am lucky enough to know all of mine very well and see them often growing up.  Many many good times.  I can't tell you how much I would love to have had the session below for myself and my cousins to have forever.  I'm jealous.  Sometimes, pictures are more than visual images.  They store memories of not only the hour the session took place, but they spark so many other memories when looking through them.  I can look at one picture of my Mammaw sitting at her spot during Christmas and remember how we all laughed when she opened presents she had no idea what they were or called a new sweater "kinda wild lookin'."  Ah, I could go on and on but I'll get super sappy so I'll stop.  Onto the session...

Meet Tina & Mike!  They have 3 beautiful grandchildren and when they all got together Easter weekend, we did a mini session.  It was obviously not lately since the grass is still that no-so-common color anymore, green.    Remember green?  Sigh.  The kids had a blast and I know Mike and Tina did as well.  Grandparents are fun!  The kids were relaxed and they loved a good tickle & kissy attack!  I think the happiness and love shows for itself.

So, in honor of a belated Grandparents day, I encourage you to do a session like this.  It doesn't have to be formal with a photographer and you don't have to use us!  Just put it on your to-do list.  It's definitely on mine.  Your kids will thank you.  They also make great Christmas presents and we can make up some really cute gift certificates!

Paige | Lampasas Family Photographer

Paige turned 10 this past August, so one Sunday we just had to do a couple birthday shots!  Paige happens to be one of my oldest little cousins that I am lucky enough to see on a fairly regular basis.  My family has a farm in Topsey, Tx where we all meet every Sunday for lunch and fellowship.  Paige lives just up the road in Kempner and is a big 5th grader this year!

We started our session at one of the ponds.  It's really the only place out there right now with anything green around thanks to this ridiculous drought we have going.  Next, we traveled down to the feeding area where I wanted to get the cactus in the images since they have purple buds right now.  We had some large four legged friends following us around hoping we'd drop some feed for them!

Next, we went up to the goat barn and it actually started to rain!  I don't know if 5 minutes of sprinkles qualifies, but we'll take it.  We finished up at the hay barn and then I made Paige jump the fence (it got quite dramatic) to get the hills in the background shots.

I love her session.  Having her write 10 things she loves about being 10 is by far one of my favorite shots.  She's a doll big girl and I love her!  Thanks Paige for being so great!
