Wesley | Killeen Family Photographer

January has rolled around and it's time to catch up on blogging all the lovely sessions that never got blogged last year!  Not because we don't love them, just because we got insanely busy during the fall thanks to fabulous clients!  So with that, look for many posts coming during January that range all the way back from July!  We are working on being better bloggers :)

Meet Wesley.  He's grown so much since this session and I'm lucky enough to see his sweet face on occasion for play dates.  His mommy and I know each other from high school, taught Kindergarten together, and remain good friends!  This was Wesley 1-year-old session at his Nana's house.  One thing I love about this session is that it shows you really can be comfrotable in your own home for a session if driving to locations really isn't convenient or your thing.  A location is what you make of it and I love the images we got from Wesley!  Isn't he a cutie?  He is such a calm, easy going boy with a super sweet laugh.  He also joins my children in the "I love Crocs" club!  I'd like to send a special thank you to his Uncle Bo, as he is responsible for all the smiles received in these images!

If you're reading this post in January and have been thinking about booking a session with us, think quickly to obtain the current rates!  We will be announcing out new pricing soon!  Thanks!

Torres Family | Ft. Hood Family Photographer

Meet the Torres family!  They are one of our Military Appreciation Families for September and they were such a sweet family!  We had lovely weather early one morning in Salado and did the session up and down main street.  Their little guy is about the same age as my youngest so I was ready for all the running around I was going to have to do to get pictures.  He was a sweet boy even though he gave me a run for it!

Know a family that would like to receive free pictures from us as a thank you for military service?  Click that link titled "Military Program" above and check eligibility!  We already have families scheduled through next year and get requests too late all the time!  Email Normanphotography@ymail.com for more info!

One big, happy family! | Killeen Family Photographer

I love extended families!  I'm lucky enough to get to see most of mine on my mom's side every Sunday, so I was excited to get to do a large family session.  What a great opportunity to take advantage of while everyone is in town at the same time!  Little cousins running around among green grass, flowers, and the pond?  Perfect.   We went to UMHB for this session (not many places around here have green grass, flowers, or water right now) and it was beautiful as always!  We started at the pond where they have pink and yellow lily pads blooming and the kids had a blast running around the pond and through the oak trees.  Grandpa says, "Now this is the way to take family pictures!"  My heart smiled.

We moved around the campus with no interference.  Students hadn't started back to school yet so we really were by ourselves.  We were able to run, swing, jump, and climb.  After pulling a few tricks out of my sleeve, I got individual pics of all the kids and we were all done!  I think Trevor figured out pretty quick I was lying about there being a hot air balloon in my camera lens!  I really enjoyed this family and wish them all safe travel and Mr. Holtmeyer, who is serving our country overseas, a safe trip home soon!

Happy Birthday Wesley! | Killeen, Ft. Hood, Harker Heights Children Photographer

You've seen Wesley before for his 6 month pictures and now here he is all grown up in his 1 year old world!  He's running everywhere (he's fast) but hasn't lost an ounce of charm, sweetness, and character!  I'm lucky enough to get to see this little guy acouple times a week because his wonderful mom & I have been friends for a while and she's currently teaching (with great patience) my girls swim lessons!  If my youngest doesn't scream the entire session, it's a successful day!  Anyway, Wesley's session took place at his Nana's beautiful (seriously love it) house with quality entertainment from his cousin Bo.  If Bo wasn't going to charge me $10 a picture, I'd pack him up, ignore child labor laws, and take him with me to every session because all smiles were thanks to him!  You can see there's just loads of family love all in and behind the scenes here :).

One thing you can take from this session with Wesley and family is that you can have a session at your own home with a little creativity.  Sometimes, clients are hesitant to book a session because they worry about getting great shots somewhere new.  We are here to make photography a relaxed, happy experience for you and this is one way to make that happen!

Maverick's Newborn Session | Killeen Newborn Photographer

We don't have a studio at Norman Photography, but we like it that way.  Mainly, because we get to see our clients in natural environments where we get realistic pictures. While I ooh and aah at the sweet sleeping baby pics like every other person, I love awake newborn pictures even more!  Maverick stayed awake the whole time and even put on a little show about why baby boys have a reputation about getting their diapers changed!  He's adorable and I am so happy for his mom and dad!  Enjoy!

Levi's Bluebonnet Session | Ft. Hood Child Photographer

Meet Levi, a sweet 14 month old, who is so sweet and handsome!  He was a great sport as I followed him around for his mini session in the bluebonnets snapping away, and later as he played with the flag.  I just love his blue eyes and am really glad to of met him and his mom!
Enjoy!
