Well hello 2012!  We're in a week deep now and I think we're ready to unveil the changes we'll be making to the business this year.  None are drastic.  Promise.  We aren't quadrupling our prices and session fees.  Sarah & I are grateful to be running a successful business in less than a year.   We've come a long way but I'll save that for our anniversary post.  We just want to say that without the support of our family, friends, and fans we wouldn't even be considering the changes we have made.  So, thank you and please know you are all greatly appreciated! Below you will see changes or additions we are making, with everything else staying the same!

2012 Pricing

$75 deposit per session due at booking (goes toward final order total)

Half hour session

10 edited images on CD with print release

20+ edited images in an online gallery from which to choose

One hour session

20 edited images on CD with print release

30+ edited images in an online gallery from which to choose

$375

Print pricing will not change from 2011.

Newborns require a full session.
Military discount of 25% now applies to half & full sessions and additional orders.  

2012 Military Appreciation Program

One deposit free half hour session

15 free edited images on CD with print release

20+ edited images in an online gallery from which to choose

Must be 30 days of returning, deploying, or on R&R

One free session per month, waiting list available

2012 Services

Maternity - Newborn - Child - Family - Senior - Engagement - Bridal - Boudior - Wedding

Newborn sessions can be lifestyle or traditional.  Lifestyle newborn sessions show your family interacting at a location or in your home.  The nursery, family members, pets, and day-to-day baby tasks are all photographed.  Traditional newborn sessions show just your sweet new baby.  These are sleepy baby pictures displaying wrinkles, toes, fingers, lips, ect. all with sweet baby accessories.  A combination of both can be done by adding an additional $75 to a full session for an extra half hour.  Newborn sessions can be conducted indoors or outdoors.  

We will be expanding our services to bridals, wedding, and boudoir in 2012.  Our 2012 wedding prices will be posted soon after this post and encompass other sessions you may need for the occasion.  

Our boudoir sessions we will offer will be classy, sexy, and elegant.  No full nudity please.  Boudoir sessions can be either a full or half session.  They can be outdoors (we have private spaces available) or in the comfort of your home.  We do not have a studio at which we will conduct these sessions.

We have 2 mini session specials scheduled for this year:  Bluebonnets & Christmas.  

The below prices will only be available for these two specials.

Sessions require 50% deposit to apply to final purchase.

Sarah's Bridal Session | Killeen Wedding Photographer

Meet Sarah.  Isn't she a beauty?  Sarah and I go wayyy back to middle school sports (oh boy, was I bad lol), braces, first boyfriends, and Mr. Shoemaker's history class!  It seems so long ago.  And here we are, almost 15 years later, with husbands and kids.  Time flies.  I do not think I want to revisit middle school though.  When Sarah heard me asking for a bridal model for our portfolio, she texted me that she wasn't happy with her bridals and we set up a do-over!  We met at Salado with a good friend in tow and had a great time!   We don't get to see each other near as often as we'd like and just having an hour to visit and laugh was so very nice!  

To the future brides out there reading this post, pay attention!  We are just now getting into the wedding scene with our first wedding coming up in October (it's gonna be be.au.ti.ful) so our wedding prices right now are phenomenal.  You can check them out here!  We aren't taking on but acouple a month next year so check us out and let us know if you're interested.  Let's meet up and have lunch if you'd like to chat!  Want to test us out?  Book us for your engagement session and go from there!

Sarah's Bridal Session Previews | Central Texas Wedding Photographer

Bridal previews?  Aren't you suppose to wait until after the wedding?  Well...yes.  Usually.  In this case, these bridals are a do-over.  Sarah and I are getting into the wedding scene and need bridal shots for our portfolio.  Sarah stepped in and we set up a session!  Isn't she gorgeous?  She happens to be my longest childhood friend, back to 6th grade (year to remain nameless as I'm feeling old now).  I'm not sure how exactly we became friends back at ol' Rancier Middle School but we've stayed friends ever since.  And you know how I gauge a good friend?  Even if you haven't seen each other lately (husbands, jobs, school, kids, you know how it goes) you can pick up a conversation like you saw each other yesterday.   I'll save more sappiness for her full session post and move on now.

 Alongside my love of detail shots is a love I have for sun drenched shots.  They just feel ooey gooey warm and fuzzy to me and I think they're beautiful.

 You're a lucky man Tim!

Behind the scenes reflected in the fabulous sunglasses is one of our other best friends from long time back, Ms. Katie Snipes!  It is always a good time with these girls! 

Beautiful.  They turned out better than I could have imagined.  Thank you Sarah!  I can't wait to edit the rest!

Billy & Melissa | Killeen, Ft. Hood, Harker Heights Wedding & Engagement Photographer

I am so looking forward to next summer when we get to photograph Billy and Melissa's wedding, because if their engagement pictures are an indicator of how good the wedding pictures will be than I will be a lucky girl!  Not only did they start off well by choosing the beautiful location of Cathedral Oaks Event Center, but their clothing choices were perfect and they brought props to use for their announcement and thank you cards.  As a photographer, you really can't ask for anything more.  Let's take a walk through their session...

If you've seen Melissa & Billy's previews, you've read about how perfect the timing was for the train to come by carrying the tanks (with Billy being a soldier and all)!

 The event center also has made over a yellow house on their property for smaller, more intimate events. It's cute and colorful!

Congratulations you guys!  Can't wait to see all the future has to bring!

Melissa & Billy's Preview Pics | Harker Heights, Killeen, Ft. Hood Engagement Photographer

We really do have fabulous clients here at Norman Photography!  Melissa and Billy were up for anything yesterday at the beautiful Cathedral Oaks Event Center, where we are lucky enough to photograph their wedding next summer.  They were relaxed, had ideas, brought super cute props for their announcement & thank you cards, and fought the 108 degree heat perfectly!  I think Billy even had a better time that he thought he might :).  If any brides have been location shopping, check this place out because it is gorgeous!

 Cathedral Oaks has a beautiful, comfortable bride's room with  huge square windows.  We were able to get a simple silhouette in here with no problem!  It was also nice to be in the AC for a little while!

 This shot is exactly opposite outside of the bridal room silhouette shot.  I was so in love with getting 2 reflections into one frame that I think I changed my lens at least twice to get the perfect shot.

These next two pictures are something I couldn't have planned if I tried.  We were using the field below Cathedral Oaks when the Sante Fe train came by.  They didn't even know what was on the train or that I was even getting it in the frames.  Billy is a soldier and when I was lucky enough to catch the tanks it was transporting, I knew it was going to be a great series of shots.  

 Perfect!

 How smart is she for bringing props to use for her thank you cards?  I love seeing creativity for clients!  

We can't wait for what I know will be a beautiful wedding for Melissa & Billy!  

Session photographed at Cathedral Oaks Event Center.  The center is fairly new to Belton, Tx and is  home to huge oak trees, lush green grass, and inside and outside accommodations.  The main building has been built for entertaining with every room needed for spoiling guests and also includes large square windows, wooden beams, and wood floors.  Can you tell I was impressed?
